Ergonomics Improvement Services

We are experts in ergonomics ready to optimize your work environment to fit your needs, reduce injury risks, and increase comfort. Ergonomics involves adjusting your workspace, tools, and practices to align with your body’s natural movements, preventing strain and enhancing efficiency.

Proper ergonomics focuses on the correct positioning of muscles and joints to eliminate undue strain and avoid prolonged static positions. In today's world, the importance of ergonomics is increasingly recognized. Whether you're using a desktop computer, heavy equipment, or simply sitting at your desk, the tools and tasks you engage with need careful evaluation to create an ergonomic environment that supports your well-being.

Our team at Physiocare specializes in assessing and adjusting both your tools and tasks to ensure a workspace that minimizes injury risks and maximizes comfort and productivity. Let us help you create a work environment that promotes health and efficiency in every aspect of your daily activities.

When to Seek an Ergonomics Specialist

If you’re experiencing frequent pain and discomfort, it may be time to consult with an ergonomics specialist at Physiocare. Common issues that can be addressed through ergonomics include neck and back pain, strains, sprains, carpal tunnel syndrome, elbow and shoulder tendonitis, DeQuervain's syndrome, "trigger finger," and rotator cuff injuries. Although less common, improper ergonomics can also contribute to knee pain, hip pain, or even blood clots.

An ergonomics evaluation can help you begin addressing chronic pain and is often recommended by a physician following an injury to prevent future complications. A preventative ergonomics assessment can be highly beneficial even if you haven’t experienced discomfort, particularly for people who spend extensive time on computers. Proper ergonomics are increasingly important, especially as more employees work from home, where more relaxed setups, at the couch or counter can lead to poor posture and additional strain. Our specialists at Physiocare are equipped to help you create a comfortable and injury-free home workspace, ensuring you stay productive and pain-free.

WHAT TO EXPECT DURING AN ERGONOMICS EVALUATION

During an ergonomics evaluation at Physiocare, one of our skilled specialists will assess both you and your work environment. This comprehensive evaluation involves observing how you interact with your workspace, including the nature of your tasks, the equipment you use, and your overall work habits.

We focus on identifying subtle adjustments that can enhance your comfort and reduce the risk of injury. This may involve optimizing your positioning, refining your body movements, or modifying your equipment. The expertise of a certified ergonomics specialist is crucial to implement these changes effectively.

If you’ve been injured, are dealing with chronic pain, or simply want to ensure your workspace is set up to prevent future issues, contact Physiocare Physical Therapy today. Our specialists will guide you in making the necessary adjustments to your work environment and habits, helping you achieve a more comfortable and productive work experience.
